Assam: Man Dies Of Electrocution In Chirang

In a tragic incident, a worker has died after being electrocuted in Assam's Chirang on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Bongaigaon Electrical Sub-Division II at Chapaguri.

As per sources, the man was painting the roof of the office building when he was hit with 33,000 volt of electricity, killing him instantly.

Locals have alleged negligence on part of the power department, due to which the death occurred.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
