Assam has been reporting numerous cases of busting drug rackets recently, and this time Assam Police nabbed racketeers of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) in Dhubri district.

On Monday, the 67 Bn Border Security Force under the aegis of Guwahati frontier apprehended two Indian racketeers who smuggled Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN). Police have caught racketeers along with Fake Indian Currency with a face value of 2,00,000 rupees.
BSF in an official statement said that acting on a tip-off an investigation was launched and the racketeers were arrested.
According to the official statement, BSF troops of Border outpost (BOP) Tistapara carried out a special operation in the general area of Baladova village in Dhubri district of Assam along the Indo-Bangladesh border and arrested the racketeers. BSF further informed that the consignment was supposed to be smuggled from Bangladesh to India. The two apprehended racketeers have been identified as Hussain Ali and Muslimudding Hoque. Both of them are residents of Dhubri District.
