In an effort to improve the coordination within the force, Assam Police on Friday for the first time hosted a day-long meeting between the state's top police officers and the constabulary in Guwahati at the 4th APBN auditorium.
This will be the first time ever that such a meeting will be held in Assam.
The meeting was organized is to reduce the communication gapbetween senior police officers and constables of Assam Police and incorporatethe inputs provided by the constables.
Range of issues related to the department and the officialswere discussed and raised in the meeting.
Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia attended the meeting along withseveral other top-notch police officials from the state.Around 500 constables, representing variousdistricts of the state, assembled in the meeting.
