Assam Police puts out WhatsApp helpline numbers for citizens to report lockdown violations

Amid complete lockdown in Guwahati city since June 28 midnight, there have reports of violating the lockdown rules.

The Assam Police in a bid to stop further such incidents has appealed to the citizens to report lockdown violations in their respective localities through WhatsApp Helpline Numbers.

The WhatsApp numbers are 6026900970, 6026900971, 6026900972 and 6026900973

The Assam Police further said the violations can be reported by tweeting to

@assampolice, @GuwahatiPol  and @GhtyTrafficPol.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the security forces in "enforcing the lockdown".
