Assam recorded 2900 new cases of coronavirus infection on Monday, pushing the active cases tally of the state to 17997, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed
Out of 60425 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, Kamrup (M) reported 382 the highest new cases today followed by Kamrup (R)- 294, Dibrugarh- 250, and Nagaon – 200.
The total positive cases stand at 61737, while, 151 deaths have been reported so far. The positivity rate of the cases is 4.79%
Meanwhile, 1261 patients were discharged today, taking the total recoveries of the state to 43,586.
