Assam Reports Single COVID Death, Toll At 976

Assam recorded only one coronavirus related death from Tinsukia on Tuesday. The death tally of the state has now mounted to 976.

Confirming the death, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:

Sad to share the demise of one #COVID patient today~ Late Dipak Phukan (52) of Tinsukia. Condolences to the bereaved family! Om Shanti

The death rate of COVID in the state stood at 0.46 per cent.
