Assam’s FCI officer goes missing in Dimapur

Thereis tension in Boklai area in Golaghat after a senior officer of FoodCorporation of India (FCI) has gone missing on Thursday (June 20). Parashmoni Das,the FCI officer has gone missing from Dimapur in Nagaland.

It maybe mentioned here Das has been working in Dimapur since 9 years. His familymembers have lodged an FIR at the Kamarbandha Police Station.

"We have been continuously trying to reach him over phone, however, his phone is switch off," said a family member of Das. "We are not ruling out kidnapping. In Dimapur there have been several instances of kidnapping for ransom in the past," added the family member.

"The officer has gone missing and we are making efforts to trace him. At this moment we cannot say anything on who is behind the incident," said a police officer of Kamarbandha PS.
