Assam’s Gaurav Gogoi appointed AICC Incharge of West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Kaliabor MP Gaurav Gogoi was appointed the AICC Incharge for West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar on Sunday.

Gogoi has replaced Dr CP Joshi as AICC Incharge for West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar.

"Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appointed Gaurav Gogoi as AICC Incharge for West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar with immediate effect. The party appreciates the hard work and contribution of Dr CP Joshi, who will be stepping down from his responsibility as AICC general secretary Incharge for West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands" said a statement by AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot.

Gaurav Gogoi took to twitter and thanked Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his new appointment.
