Assembly Dy. Speaker election on July 23

The election of Assam Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker will be held on July 23. Assembly Principal Secretary Mrigendra Kumar Deka has informed media persons.

For the election of the Deputy Speaker, the nominations will be received till 3 pm on July 22. The Monsoon Session of the Assam Assembly will begin from July 18; during the session, several important legislations are expected to be taken up.
