Hajo farmers burn Atul Bora’s effigy over faulty seeds

As protest against faulty seeds provided by the Assam Agriculture Department, farmers at Adhiyapara, Hajo on Thursday burnt the effigy of state Agriculture Minister Atul Bora.

The farmers have alleged that the seeds that were provided by the department as high yielding seeds have failed to yield any product.

They have also demanded the government and concerned department to compensate their loss.
