The BranchManager of Barpeta UCO Bank has been arrested. The Kayakuchi Police on Thursdayarrested the officer in connection with a scam in the bank. The BM has beenidentified as Alok Kumar.
Accordingto reports, the Branch Manager was involved in loan-scam in the bank. He wasarrested on basis of the statement of one Abdul Kadel, a broker, who wasarrested on October 10 in connection with the same case.
An officerof the Kayakuchi PS informed that Kumar along with the broker was involved inmore than Rs. 3-crore KCC loan scam in the bank. The BM will be produced beforethe court on Friday.
