As per sources, a young man from Dhemaji named Sushil Chutia, has formally filed a complaint at the Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell accusing Bhuyan of large-scale fund diversion.

According to the complaint, Bhuyan is alleged to have issued cheques from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the bank accounts of his friends and relatives, instead of directly to the intended beneficiaries.

In a startling revelation, the complainant stated that a portion of the relief fund was also credited to his bank account without his knowledge or consent, and that the money was subsequently transferred to a relative of Bhuyan.

The matter came to light after Pratidin Time aired a report two days ago highlighting these explosive allegations against Bhuyan. It has further been alleged that MP Pradan Baruah is shielding his assistant, raising serious questions about political patronage and accountability.

Fearing for his safety, the complainant claimed that he now finds it impossible to return to Dhemaji, suggesting threats or potential harm stemming from his decision to come forward.
