Black Day Today in LS for Assam

It is going to be black day in Lok Sabha today in Assam as the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report on Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) will be placed today and BJP would like to pass it tomorrow.

Sans technicalities, the Bill now can not be stopped from passing as the BJP has huge majority in the Lok Sabha.

The only technicalities that till last night Business Advisory Committee (BAC), which runs the business of the house, was not informed by the Government about laying the bills.

The conventions is that BAC is informed at least 4 hours in advance for any introduction of the Bill and for Constitutional Amendment Bill, the BAC informed days ago.

Meanwhile Congress is organizing a symbolic protest before the Parliament today.
