Black flag protest welcomes Modi in Itanagar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning reached Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several projects in the State.

Upon his arrival in Itanagar, several organisations in the State staged massive protest in capital Itanagar as well as in other parts of the State. Members of the organisations wore black dresses and waved black flags, while shouting slogans against the Prime Minister.

The students of Rajiv Gandhi University, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) and Himalayan University also staged protest against the Prime Minister and Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on Saturday morning after PM landed in Itanagar.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate as well as lay foundation stones of various projects in the State.
