As the upcoming elections approach, political activity in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam has intensified. From party affiliations to bold statements by ministers, the region is witnessing a dynamic political transformation that is expected to impact the upcoming elections significantly.

Salbari: Minister Ranjeet Kamar Dass Emphasises Development and Stability

In Salbari, Assam, Cabinet Minister Ranjeet Kamar Dass addressed the media, reaffirming the BJP's commitment to transparent and peaceful elections. He stated that under BJP rule, approximately 80% of the BTR region has witnessed notable development across various sectors. Dass emphasised that the focus of the government has always been on progress and public welfare, not on divisive politics.

Responding to accusations from opposition parties, Dass said such allegations are baseless and aimed at creating confusion among voters. He urged the public not to fall for misinformation and to support the BJP based on its performance. Further, he added that the government has taken significant steps to ensure law and order throughout the election process and that peace and security remain a top priority.

He also criticised the opposition for trying to polarise the electorate and claimed that the BJP would win a strong majority in the upcoming elections based on the work already done

Orang: BJP Big Joining Program

A major boost to the BJP, over 500 individuals from various political affiliations, including former members of the UPPL and BPF, joined the party during a large joining event at Orang. The event saw the participation of several Village Council Development Committee members, senior BJP leaders, and key political figures.

The newly joined members praised the BJP-led central government leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They expressed confidence that only the BJP can ensure inclusive growth in the BTR region. Prominent leaders such as Pallab Lochan Das and former UPPL CWC members, including Gazen Hainari, addressed the gathering. They criticised the UPPL's leadership for its failure to fulfil promises and claimed that the people of the BJP for a better are ready to support the BJP for a better future

Udalguri: Politics Temperature Rising

In Udalguri, the political environment is growing tense as parties ramp up their election campaigns. Opposition groups have accused the BJP of misusing government resources and attempting to sway voters unfairly. The BJP has strongly denied these claims, asserting that they are committed to conducting free and fair elections.
