In an utter inhuman incident in Guwahati, the body of an infant was found inside a drain on Tuesday. The infant was found inside the drain in Gandhinagar locality of Satgaon area in the city.
Locals after noticing a body of the infant informed police and hospital, but unfortunately, nothing could be done and the baby had to be declared dead.
Meanwhile, police reached the scene for further investigations. "It's unclear how long the infant had been left in the road," said police. They are now looking for the infant's mother.
