The Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday said that it rescued five persons, including two children, when their boat capsized in the Brahmaputra River in Dhubri district near the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The five were going from one village to another in the district in a country boat when it overturned near the sandbar of Mahamaya.
Noticing the incident, the BSF personnel on duty at the Mahamaya 'char' (sandbar) rushed to them on a speed boat and rescued all the five, a statement from the border guard said.
