"BTC won't bear the burden of Citizenship Bill" senior BPF leader-cum- Minister of Social Welfare Department, Pramila Rani Brahma said while expressing her views on controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill issue.

Her comments came just hours after the Lok Sabha passed the controversial Bill.

A couple of days ago, BTC Chief-cum-BPF President Hagrama Mohilary said that "BPF has nothing to say much about the Bill as the issue is related to the Assam Accord and historic Assam Movement."

It may be mentioned that there are fears in the state that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will lead to a huge influx of Hindu Bangladeshis.
