Businessman shot at Gohpur

Priror to Durga Puja there has been one more sensational shooting incident in the state. This time a businessman named Jogindar Shah  was shot at and injured while he was returning home after closing his shop in Gohpur Purup Bari at around 9:30 pm on Friday.

"The bullet has entered the left side of-of his stomach. He is alive but in a critical condition," police said.

The shooters fled after shooting the businessman. Shah was immediately rushed to a hospital in Tezpur, about 110 km from the site of the incident and later to GMCH.

Police have arrived the spot and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses.

A few days back, a female banker hailing from Guwahati's Chandmari area was killed by two motorbike-borne miscreants at Agyathuri.
