CAB is Unconstitutional: Ningombam Bupenda Meitei

Manipur Congress Spokesperson Ningombam Bupenda Meitei on Tuesday saidthat the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is harmful for Northeast and it isunconstitutional.

Addressing a press conference at Guwahati today, Bupenda Meitei urgedthe people of the Northeastern region to oppose CAB or else it will destroy theregion. He also said that all the political and non-political organizations andconcerned citizens protested against CAB in all the states.

He further stated that the Centre has deployed additional Army atImphal due to the protests that erupted in the state against CAB.

Criticizing the Naga peace deal, Meitei said that it will createtrouble in the neighbouring states.
