Community spread of COVID-19 suspected in Karimganj

Karimganj district of Assam on Wednesday recorded 22 fresh cases of coronavirus infection suspecting of community spreading.

Out of the 22 victims, ten have been reported to be barbers of different salons and beauty parlours.

Through the Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme (ATSP) samples were collected from numerous barbers.

So far, 318 cases have been reported out of which 34 are being treated for  in COVID-19 hospitals
