COVID-19 pandemic continues to claim lives of the people of Assam.
On Monday, the state lost another 16 more people to the contagion.
This was informed by Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The death cases were reported from various places of Assam including Dhemaji, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Dhubri, Kamrup (M), Sivasagar, Golaghat, Jorhat and Hojai.

These 16 deaths took the cumulative death tally of Assam to 578.
