COVID-19 Assam: Active cases tally at 8368

1348 fresh cases of coronavirus infection detected in Assam on Wednesday pushing the active cases tally to 8368, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed.

18941 tests were done in the last 24 hours, the minister added. The positivity rate is at a low of 7.11% with 348 in Kamrup (M) and 127 in  Kamrup (R). The total positive cases now stand at 36295.

Meanwhile, 1214 patients have been discharged today. The recovery rate is 76.77%, the minister in this connection said, "It is purely a result of dedication and selfless service of our doctors". The total discharged cases stand at 27832. 92 deaths have recorded so far.
