Darrang: Five cops test COVID-19+

Five police personnel at Sipajhar town of Darrang district has tested positive for coronavirus, officials stated on Friday.

The COVID-19 detected officials have been identified as Sarat Bora, Basab Das, Sivaji Hajong, Apurba Sarma, and Ruhul Amino. They have been admitted to Mangaldoi COVID-19 Centre for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Additional Director General of Assam Police G.P.Singh on Thursday informed through his Twitter handle that, 1426 police personnel have tested positive for coronavirus so far out of which 1048 have recovered. Four have succumbed to the disease.
