Death of a newborn baby in Mangaldoi Civil Hospital led to outrage and anger of locals in the hospital premises of Mangaldoi district on Saturday night as people accused the hospital authorities of negligence and conspiracy.
The situation at the hospital went out of control when a newborn baby was found dead while sleeping with the mother in mysterious conditions last night.
The family has alleged negligence on the part of the hospital and has accused the hospital of changing the baby, who was born on October 5.
The reason of the death has yet not been confirmed.
Following these, police reached the hospital at midnight to take stock of the situation. However, it has been alleged that the officer-in-charge of Mangaldoi police threatened the family of the deceased to keep quiet and remain silent on the incident.
The family has also accused the officer-in-charge of forcing them to not contact or call any media person in this regard.
