Departmental probe against 42 Nagaon policemen

TheAssam Police have initiated departmental investigation against 42 policemen ofNagaon Police. They were allegedly involved in taking bribe from coal andcattle smuggling trucks.

Accordingto reports, all the policemen were from Barghat, Nanoi, Ranglu police stations.The police have already sent show-cause notice to three constables- SurjyaTamuli, Nibul Hussain and Tagar.

Theincident came to light after Nagaon ASP Rosy Kalita launched an undercoveroperation recently.
