“Don’t Force Us To Clamp Another Lockdown”- HBS

If people don't wear masks and maintain social distancing, Guwahati may face another lockdown.

This was hinted at by Health Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma today in a meeting held at GMCH to discuss ways of treatment for the people infected with the pandemic.

Urging people to maintain all the safety protocols in this alarming scenario, he said that if people didn't adhere to them, the government will be forced to clamp another lockdown.

Guwahati's lockdown has meanwhile been extended for a week and will be in effect till July 19. This has been done to make sure that the gains made in the previous lockdown are rendered meaningless.
