Drugs recovered from ASTC night super at Merapani

In a joint operation conducted by Merapani Police and CRPF, drugs worth over one lakh rupees were recovered from an ASTC night super bus at Merapani.

5,000 tablets of nitrosun, a hypnotic and sedative drug, were seized from the ASTC bus serving the Guwahati-Golaghat-Merapani route with registration number AS 20 1578.

The joint operation team recovered the tablets from an unmanned lady's handbag.
