Fake Currency seized in Guwahati

Just ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election, fake notes worth 2 lakhs (approx) have been seized in Guwahati on 5 April.

After receiving a tip-off the police seized 500 and 200 fake currency near the Nehru stadium at Dr B Barroah Road in Guwahati.

The police have arrested 3 people in connection. Motaleb Ali (30), Dilbar Hussain (27) and Amir Hamza (21), all are residents of Sipajhar.
