Father-Son killed after Rajdhani Express hits car at Chabua railway crossing

A father-son duo died on spot after the Rajdhani Express hit their car at an unmanned railway crossing in Dibrugarh's Chabua.

The deceased have been identified as Bimal Sharma (father) and Arnab Garg Sharma (son). They were returning after Arnab's engagement ceremony. His mother Deepa Sharma has been severely injured in the accident.

After the accident, they are taken to Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh, where Bimal Sharma and Arnab were declared dead.

Locals have alleged that guard was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident.

Top railway officials reached the spot after the incident; the guard has been suspended.
