Fire breaks out at Gauhati University

A massive fire broke out at Gauhati University campus on Thursday at around 11:30 AM. The fire engulfed a quarter in the university campus.

As per reports, the fire broke out at Geography department's Prof. Abani Kumar Bhagawati's quarter, which gutted books, copies, clothes and other essential things.

The cause of the fire may be due to an electric short circuit. Later, the University Electricity and Fire department doused the fire.
