The first coronavirus infected patient from Mariani town in Jorhat district succumbed to the disease on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Alok Ghosh. Ghosh was admitted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital due to complaints of respiratory problems.
