Four arrested for throwing ink at Anil Raja

Guwahati city police on Sunday arrested four people for throwing ink at Congress leader Anil Raja outside the CJM court on Saturday.

The four arrested people are Rampuri alias Abdul Sattar of Uzan Bazar, Joon alias Arif Ahmed of Fancy Bazar, Former NSUI Vice-President Rakid alias Raja of Fancy Bazar and West Guwahati Youth Congress Vice-President Abdul Jeni Shah of Machkhowa.

One of the four has confessed to throwing ink at the Congress leader.

The incident took place on Saturday when Anil Raja came out of the court after appearing in a defamation case filed against him by former forest minister Rakibul Hussain.

Following the incident, Raja accused the miscreants of being Rakibul Hussain's supporters to which the former forest minister refuted.
