On theauspicious occasion of Eid, roadside fruit-sellers in Guwahati's Jalukbari hadto come across an unfortunate incident.
Firegutted small fruit shops situated on the roadside in the area.
The sellershave accused the police of arson. In the light of the incident, there has beenan outrage among the sellers.
"Theshops were burnt down overnight without issuing us a prior notice", alleged thesellers.
The fruit-sellershave also condemned this incident, which the police had carried out on a daysuch as Eid.According to reports,fruits worth more than lakhs along with belongings of the shop were taken away.
