TheDistrict Sports Officer (DSO) of Golaghat has been caught red-handed whileaccepting bribe on Wednesday. The DSO has been identified as Manorama Das.
Accordingto reports, Das was arrested by a team of Golaghat Police while she wasaccepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the principal of Dhekial HS School inGolaghat.
Reportssuggested that when the principal of Dhekial HS School approached the DSO for asignature of utilization certificate, Das demanded a bribe of Rs. 50,000.Later, the principal approached the Golaghat police and the police planned atrap accordingly caught her red-handed.
Meanwhile,Police are currently interrogating Das and she will be forwarded to a specialcourt in Guwahati on Thursday.
