In a tragic incident, three children of a family drowned in the River at Tajpur under Tulsibil police station at Gossaigaon on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Yasmina Parvin (9), Mizanur Rahman (11) and Anowar Ali (8). According to reports, the children went out of the house at around 10 AM and didn't return home till evening. The guardian went to search for the children when they recovered the clothes on the bank of a river.
The locals suspected that the children drowned in the river while they went for a bath and a search operation was launched by the NDRF and recovered the body of the girl child. The bodies of the other two children have been recovered during the search operation by the NDRF yesterday night.
