Guwahati Blast | CM orders probe

AssamChief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday evening directed the DirectorGeneral of Police Kuladhar Saikia to take appropriate and immediate actionagainst the culprits responsible for the blast that took place near GuwahatiCentral in Zoo road area.

CMSonowal condemned the incident and directed the DGP to nab the miscreantsinvolved in the incident.

Strongly condemn the blast in Guwahati this evening.

Have directed authorities to rush to the spot and take stock of the situation. Also directed DGP to immediately apprehend the culprits and ensure the security of common people.

According to reports, motorcycle-borne miscreants hurled the grenade at the team of CRPF personnel and police personnel, who were on duty near the shopping mall.

Meanwhile, senior police officials including DGP Kuladhar Saikia have reached the spot immediately after the incident.
