On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees on Saturday offered prayers outside a Ganesh Mandir in Guwahati while the mandir doors remained closed.
Devotees were seen wearing masks and queuing outside to offer prayers at the famous Ganesh Mandir in Ganeshguri area.
"Warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. May lord Ganesha remove our obstacles and bless us all with peace, prosperity and good health," tweeted Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on the occasion.

PM Narendra Modi and President Ramnath Kovind also tweeted and wished the people on Ganesh Chaturthi.
