GUWAHATI | Election Flying Squad seizes Rs 5 lakh

With the general elections just a few days away, political parties and candidates are running from pillar to post trying to mobilise the huge amounts of money required for election campaigning.

Acting on a tip-off, the election flying squad has managed to seize Rs 5 lakh from a car during a routine vehicle checking at Pandu in the city on Wednesday evening.

Reportedly, police have detained a person namely Ayaj Ali with the car. Police has taken Ali for further investigation into the matter.
