Guwahati: Top cop nabs drug peddlers

Kamrup Metropolitan ACP Nandini Kakati led an operation in the city's Lalungaon area on Saturday.

Two peddlers of Trench King Transportation were caught smuggling a large consignment of illicit drugs worth several lakhs.

These smuggled drugs were supposed to be transported to Manipur during the ongoing lockdown period in Guwahati.

The accused suppliers have been identified as Farooq Khan of Manipur and Rupesh Singh of Jyotikuchi in Guwahati. The vehicle registered with number MN-07 C4131has been seized by the police.
