Guwahati will have 4 new COVID Care Center: Himanta

Assam State Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced that four new COVID Care Center will be set up at Guwahati.

The minister said that the COVID care center will be set up at Girijananda Choudhury Institute, Azara. The center will have 900 beds with a team of 50 doctors.

The minister also said that the government will prepare 10,000 beds for COVID-19 patients. He said that the number of cases will be more in August and appealed the people to remain safe and to maintain COVID-19 protocols.

He further informed that 3lakhs test will be completed in August.
