High court rejects Rakesh Paul’s bail plea

The Gauhati High Court on Monday rejected a bail application of one of the prime accused in jobs for-cash' scam, Rakesh Paul, the former chairman of Assam Public Service Commission.

The court rejected the bail petition of Paul who has been in judicial custody in that took place during the previous Congress regime, in connection with a separate bribery allegation registered with Bhangagarh Police Station.
