Illegal Foreign Cigarettes Worth Lakhs Seized in Guwahati

Illegal foreign cigarettes worth more than Rupees 20 lakh were seized by the Customs Department at the LGBI Airport Guwahati today.

In a search operation led by the Customs Department, around 950 packets of such cigarettes were found and seized while they were on the verge of being transported from Imphal to Delhi via an Air Asia flight bearing the number 15-0784. The Customs department is further investigating the matter for more details.
