KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang announces construction of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das’ statues in Panjari Village

Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang has announced that statues of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das would be erected at Panjuri Village in Karbi Anglong's Dokmoka as a tribute to the departed souls.

In a shocking incident, both the youths from Guwahati were brutally lynched to death by a mob in the area after mistaking them for child traffickers on June 8. Following this, Karbi Anglong has been subjected to lot of criticism with people protesting for justice throughout Assam.

Ronghang also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the departed in the Karbi Anglong incident. He also ensured thorough and fair probe of the incident.

Ronghang also informed that justice will be done and those found guilty will be punished as per strictest provisions of the law.
