Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday visited and inspected a COVID-19 care centre that is under construction in Mirza and will be functional from August 2 onward.
Sarma visited the Palashbari R B HS & MP School playground situated at Sarpara in Mirza under Kamrup district which is being transformed into a COVID care centre. The centre will be able to accommodate 650 coronavirus positive patients.
The minister said, "The covid centre will benefit COVID-19 infected patients from Goalpara, Boko and South Kamrup region".
Additionally, Sarma assured of COVID-19 vaccine to be available for positive patients in October this year.
