Previously, the Arunachal BJP leader had served as theMinister of State for Home Affairs. Rijiju is known for hisoratory skills in the national politics. He is considered as the face of BJP inNE India.

Born on 19 November 1971, Rijiju was an active social worker since his school days and led various social movements as a social worker and student leader.

The BJP MP defeated Congress' Nabam Tuki in West Arunachal Lok Sabha constituency in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
