Land port Scam | Cachar DDC Surrenders Before Police

Another accused in Sutarkandi land port scam Nabarun Bhattacharjee – the Cachar District Development Commissioner (DDC) has surrendered before the Karimganj Sadar Police Station, this evening.

Accused Bhattacharjee and former Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj district, Pradip Kumar Talukdar had allegedly embezzled crores of rupees as they purchased several plots of land through fake land documents.

The Karimganj police detained the former Deputy Commissioner of the district, Pradip Kumar Talukdar from his Guwahati residence. Talukdar was also placed under suspension in the same case.

Earlier this month, Bhattacharjee was placed under suspension in connection with the multi-crore land scam case of Sutarkandi land port.
