A severe landslide has occurred in Gauripur near Buddha Mandir, Amingaon, close to NH-31 on Friday. In fact, the landslide has blocked the highway in North Guwahati. The site of the landslide is close to IIT,Guwahati.
Vehicles are suspected to be trapped under the rubble brought down by the lockdown.
Spawned by the incessant rains, the landslide, as per sources, has severely disrupted transportation along the highway.
Many vehicles are reported to have had a close shave from the debris being rolled down by the landslide on the highway.
