Law and Order improved in Manipur, Claims BJP

BJP Inner Manipur candidate RK Ranjan today claimed "law and order has been established in the state" aftermath the establishment of BJP-led government two years back. Addressing the public at A Moirang locality, Ranjan said "unlike in the past, people can now safely carry huge amount of money during night time."

The aspiring candidate also blamed that the state has failed to develop because of 15-years of Congress rule during which several youths were killed in "fake encounters" leaving behind several widows.

Life of several energetic and capable youths who will become the future generation died at the prime of their lives, claimed Ranjan.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Of Nabakishore alleged that the incumbent government gives much emphasis on people who are not indigenous to the state.

The former Chief Secretary said "rights are being given to others rather than indigenous populace" as the govt is not concerned about the welfare of the state and their only concern is to "obey from Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi" from Delhi.

The blame game between the two opposing parties has escalated as polls draws nearer.

On Tuesday Works Minister Th Bishwajit while interacting the media had said that the Centre is paying much attention to bring development in the region and that almost 21 per cent of the Union Budget for 2019-2020 has been earmarked for the North East which no other PM had done before.

"Compared to UPA govt, construction of roads has been much faster," Bishwajit had claimed.

He also informed that the Centre has sanctioned RS 4800 crore in the first phase for Manipur Roads Development Programme while another Rs. 2790 crore has been has too been sanctioned for constructing roads and bridges in the landlocked state.
