Lower Assam flooded again, around 50 rescued overnight

The risingwaters of the Pahumara River, in lower Assam's Pathsala, has flooded Bajalicompletely overnight.

The policeand the SDRF launched an operation to rescue who have been trapped by thesudden spate in the river.

Accordingto reports, around 50 people have been rescued by the teams. Women including 15children were among those who have been rescued.

Theoperation started last night and continued till this morning.

Theoperation was led by Police Official Samiran Baishya.
